    Dr. Reis Marques is a psychiatrist in London with over 12 years of experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Whilst building his private practice in Harley Street, where he currently works as a staff consultant, Dr. Reis Marques continues to work in a vibrant NHS team at the Maudsley Hospital. The Maudsley Hospital has been a center of excellence in psychiatric for almost a century and is the largest and most influential mental health establishment in Europe. Dr. Reis Marques is also a reputable researcher, having completed his PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry, King´s College London, where he continues his career as an academic. Dr. Reis Marques is recognised amongst his colleagues as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. He is also a regular speaker in international scientific meetings worldwide and has published dozens of important scientific papers. He is an associate of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and he has been the recipient of many awards and grant, such has the NARSAD Investigator Grant in 2011,the 2014 Royal Society of Medicine award and the ICOSR Investigator award in 2015.

    Dr. Reis Marques primary approach is to listen to the person's story and put their symptoms in the context of their whole life. He believes that a great value should be placed on an empathetic approach and that the best management of mental health is the result of a combination of a profound comprehension of the person needs with a deep understanding of the biology of the illness. For that reason, in his practice Dr. Reis Marques uses the latest biological and psychological treatments, working closely with Clinical Psychologists when needed, while key family members and carers are often welcomed as active partners in the process of treatment.
